Hebden & Miller Tax Service, LLC (“H&M”) Privacy Policy: Effective January 19, 2025

This Privacy Policy (“Privacy Policy”) is provided by H&M. H&M may update its Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do change our Privacy Policy or update it in a material way, a notice will be posted on the H&M website along with the updated Privacy Policy. We may also contact you via your contact information on file, for example by email or some other equivalent method.

This H&M Privacy Policy discloses our policies for the collection and use of information and Personal Information.

The term “Personal Information” is data that can be used to identify or contact a single person or company, including your name, your email address, and other information that identifies you or allows you to be contacted, including your phone number.

H&M may collect Personal Information from you when you visit this H&M website, when you visit one of the H&M tax services offices (in person, via telephone, and/or / video conference). We may also collect Personal Data about you from various third parties.

H&M: When you visit with or at H&M and the H&M website and provide us with your email address, and/or your name, and/or your telephone number, apply for a newsletter, fill in the contact us form, and download resources, we may collect a variety of information from you, including your name, your email address, your telephone number, your IP Address, your device ID, etc. By signing up for newsletters or by providing your email address, you are consenting to H&M contacting you from time to time by email communication to send you emails that may be marketing related, providing tax tips, as well as offers for products and services marketed by H&M. Emails and newsletters will contain an “opt-out” / “unsubscribe” button at the bottom of the communication and you can opt-out of receiving emails at any time by contacting us via the “opt-out” / “unsubscribe” feature.

Advertisers and marketing partners: H&M may deliver ads to you from time to time. And, you may access H&M by way of ads posted on social media or search sites (e.g., Meta (Facebook / Instagram), Google, LinkedIn, and other social media or search sites). We may obtain certain data about you, such as cookie id, mobile device id, IP address, email addresses, etc., and information about your interests and preferences from certain advertisers and advertising partners that allow us to deliver more relevant ads and measure their effectiveness.

Third-Party Sites and Services: H&M’s websites, products, and services may contain links to third-party websites, products, services, and applications (e.g., IRS, or state agencies, among others). Our site may use or offer products or services from third parties. Information collected by third parties, which may include such things as location data or contact details, is governed by their privacy practices. How do we use the Personal Information we do collect?

We may use your Personal Information to communicate with you, to comply with a legal obligation we are subject to, and to deliver our services or products to you. We do not sell your Personal Information to any third party, nor will we share your Personal Information with any person or entity other than H&M or its affiliates.

We also use Personal Information to assist us in developing or creating H&M services and content, advertising, and for network security purposes.

If at some point we allow you to upload content to our site, we may use Personal Information for evaluating uploaded content for potentially illegal content, including child sexual exploitation material, or for false, defamatory, or inappropriate content.

H&M may use this information to understand usage behavior on our site, we may use this information for administrative purposes on our site, and we may use this information to improve our site and the offerings made by H&M. We may also use this information for marketing and advertising purposes.

H&M may, in email messages to you, use a “click-through URL” linked to content on the H&M website. It is likely that when recipients of the email click on a URL contained in the email message, they may be routed through a separate web server before arriving at the H&M website. H&M and its affiliated companies do not sell or provide Personal Information to third parties.

What protections are in place?

Protection of Personal Information: H&M takes the security of Personal Information seriously. When your Personal Information is stored by H&M, it is stored in a physically secure location with password protection. Only H&M and its affiliates have security access to this stored information.

Integrity and Retention of Personal Information: H&M allows you to change, modify, or amend your Personal Information upon request (see contacting us below). H&M will retain your Personal Information for the period necessary to fulfill the purposes outlined in this Privacy Policy and for the period of time H&M exists.

Your Privacy Rights: For Personal Information we store, upon request, we can provide you with access to Your Personal information, a copy of it, or we can delete the data upon your request if there is no law or legitimate business purpose for H&M to retain it.

Children: H&M is not intended for nor does it market itself to persons under age thirteen (13) years old or the equivalent minimum age in the relevant jurisdiction. To the extent that H&M learns that it has collected Personal Information of a child under age thirteen (13) years old, H&M will take steps to delete the information as soon as is commercially possible.
